On any vacation, spending a sick day in a hotel room usually isn't on our itinerary. We like to have a kit of necessities to get us back on our feet as quickly as possible. Below, are our travel packing tips for feel-better things you might need when you're abroad.Whenever we travel internationally, we like to be prepared for anything that could go awry from the everyday aches and pains to the more several illnesses. On the rare occasion, we have needed this kit but even when nothing has gone wrong, it's always nice knowing we have a portable pharmacy in our luggage. Here's what we bring (also, Go Pack Go) : Skin Care - during our trips, we tend to be out and about a lot. That means hours in the sun and elements, so here's what we bring in preparation. Sunscreen (various SPFs, one for "I'd like to get some sun" and one for "well, I got too much sun") Aloe Vera (used in conjunction with the latter SPF) Bug Spray and bug bite ointment Anti-itch cream Upset Tummies - we are never afraid to try new or exotic cuisine knowing we are prepared in case it doesn't sit well with us... later on... Laxatives Anti-diarrheal capsules Rolaids or antacids Head Aches - whether it's due to the jet lag, late night drinking, or foreign allergens, these keep us level headed. Ibuprofen and Tylenol (our pharmacy friends tell us to bring both to help deal with headaches and fevers differently) Allergy pills Multi-Vitamins (for keeping the diet balanced) First Aid - obviously, you never know when you'll need these, hopefully you won't. But it would be even worse to not be prepared, especially in more remote locations. Band-Aids (or whatever brand you prefer) Gauze Tweezers and scissors Anti-biotic ointment Sanitizing hand wipes Lozenges (we tend to get sore throats from air travel so we pack a lot of these) DayQuil Sewing kit (first-aid for clothes!) We know this isn't the whole pharmacy but we feel this kit helps us deal with the most commonly anticipated travel health issues. We feel like it's a pretty universal first-aid assortment but definitely make sure to include things that are more specific to you... If you are more prone to allergies, if you're fair skinned, or have a weak stomach, stock up on the things that will keep you healthy and ready for your trip. If we've missed anything, feel free to add to our kit in the comments below.
Until Next Time, C + D

I would suggest peptobismal tabs since they're multi purpose and would eliminate the need for individual antidiarrheal, antacid, and gas/bloating/nausea remedies. Could consider Benadryl or melatonin to help with jet lag and adjusting to a new time zone.
