Coming from the north, we had spent many Christmas breaks and winter weekends driving up to Michigan to hit the slopes. Through the years, we accumulated our own gear and decided when we moved to Texas, we would keep it all with us just in case we ever took a ski trip. So in the winter of 2013, we finally took advantage of the closest ski destination to Austin and drove over to Ruidoso for some snowboarding. There was an article that popped up on Facebook that discussed how traveling can lead to being more successful. Really, more successful? Maybe more enriched, certainly! Exposed to new things that we might not see here in the US, definitely. But successful... I wasn't quite sure. So I read the article and started to see a correlation that if harnessed and molded correctly, traveling could play a large part in how we relate and interact with everything around us.
With most of the US under a blanket of snow and ice, beach vacations have been popping up all over for you Northerners to escape the cold. Although we are located in Texas, we have been dreaming about sandy beaches and rolling waves and thought a summary of the best beaches we’ve been to/dreamed about would be the perfect fantasy getaway.
There's a little bit of give and take when it comes to expenses for vacationing. After all, traveling can be costly. But with a little planning and comparing, those costs can be reduced, especially in the biggest part of the trip which is getting from Point A to Point B.
