After spending a day in Harry Potter World over at Universal Studios, Chase and I spent our second day in Orlando at Disney World!First of all, we hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We hope your weekend was filled with great food, good fun, and lots of time with family and loved ones! Ok, onward to Disney! We have a lot of friends and family that have been to Disney World so we didn't want to spend too much time talking about the ends and out of the parks. We decided we'd make this more of a photo journey through Disney with a little bit of captioning along the way. Oh,. the one thing we thought would be beneficial to share about, was our hotel stay. Usually, hotels can be the most costly expense, besides basically everything on this trip (Disney World is EXPENSIVE) so we found some alternatives that made lodging a little less pricey. More on that in a bit, keep reading! We started in Disney Hollywood Studios and hit up the Indiana Jones skit as well as the Tower of Terror. Then we high tailed it to the boat taxi to get to Epcot. Chase had made reservations for lunch at the English Pub. The boat taxi dropped us at Paris so we started there and walked clockwise around the island. We were blown away by the details of the buildings at each "country". Our favorites were China, Morocco, and Italy. Every aspect was so beautiful. We mentioned Disney is expensive but it really is an experience unlike any other attraction park. The amount of energy and dedication to transport visitors to a new world or space was extremely well executed. Thats what you're paying for! A lot of our friends challenged us to drink around the world... we got vino in Paris, had a scotch sampling with lunch at the English pub (this is probably what did us in), walked to Mexico for a Margarita and then we were done! Props to anyone who can make it around the world, trying a beverage at every country! That's a trek. After Epcot, we took the tran over to the ferry to get to the Magic Kingdom. There, we spent the rest of the day wandering around Cinderella's domain. We rode to tea cups, shot aliens with Buzz Lightyear, and dined at the Lady and the Tramp parlor. We even got to meet Mickey!!!! After the parade and fireworks, the Kingdom cleared out and that's when to took advantage of the rides. It took 30 minutes to ride Thunder Mountain (without a fast pass) and with less crowds, we were able to get in and out quickly. We rode basically everything! Dumbo, Space Mountain, Pirates, the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan... The ONLY ride that had over an hour wait all day was the 7 Dwarfs Mine Ride. We were bummed because we kept hearing good things about it, but the wait wasn't worth missing out on basically every other ride in the Kingdom! We were exhausted by the end of the weekend. Two full days of walking, standing, and waiting but Disney and Universal were amazing! It really brings out your inner kid! Such a blast.
The last thing we wanted to mention, was our hotel stay. We were looking at costs of hotels "inside" Disney and the prices were INSANE! We just kept hearing "That's Disney", everything is expensive but it's the experience that counts. So we decided to do a little searching and with just a quick peek over at Groupon, we found some awesome alternatives. We ended up booking our stay through Groupon for the Lake Buena Vista Hotel which is on Disney World's property. Buena Vista is clustered with other hotel chains like Hilton, Double Tree, Best Western but the price difference is considerably less (nearly 30%) and totally worth the free, 15 minute shuttle to get to the parks. It was Disney themed so the kids can still feel the magic of Disney without breaking the bank. If we'd go again, we will 100% be staying in this hotel cluster over the actual Disney Hotels. If you have some favorite tips for keeping Disney "cheap", comment below! Until Next Time, C + D

We found the value hotels at Disney such as music, movies, animation and sports are reasonable. Certain a times of the year you can get the dining pass for free which is way worth it. the Snow White ride is really fun but we had to wait til after 12am when it was exclusive to Disney hotels and had a 15 min wait.thanks for sharing your pics!

This is awesome info! I know Disney gives their guests perks but if you don't stay at a Disney Resort, you miss out! Thanks so much! Also, jealous you got to ride the mine ride!!
